Icelantic's Winter on the Rocks

Posted November 16, 2013 @ 10:01pm | by Beau Schwab

winter on the rocks 2014Shredding and Tunes, perfect. Music is such a big part of skiing and riding. It’s in the films we watch, the cars we drive to the hill and the bars we après. This past week Icelantic Skis introduced this year’s line up for Icelantic’s Winter on the Rocks, and it looks like it could be even crazier than last year…if that’s even possible.

Icelantic is a Colorado-based ski company that has grown right out of the foothills of the Rockies. This young, cutting edge, down to earth company has made leaps and bounds in the ski industry since the mid 2000’s and doesn’t show any sign of slowing down anytime soon. With an insane product, amazing artwork and the know-how ability to throw one hell of a party, makes Icelantic an unstoppable force.

The third installation of Icelantic’s Winter on the Rocks will be on January 31, 2014 and will feature Jurassic 5 & Ducksauce, talk about SENDING IT! Jurassic 5, you know, that group of guys that came out with a little track called “Concrete Schoolyard” back in the day, no big deal. I don’t know about you guys but I still go nuts when I get the chance to yell out Barbara Steisand when the beat stops, all thanks to a couple gentlemen who go by the names Armand Van Helden and A-Trak who make up Ducksauce. This show is sure to go down in the books.

What makes this event so unique? It’s held at Red Rocks, an amphitheater nestled amidst, you guessed it, large geological structures known as rocks that are a multitude of shades of the color red. All sarcasm aside this place is unbelievably gorgeous and is a very special place to see a show, and this is coming from a kid who grew up seeing shows at S.P.A.C. so trust me when I say this place is worth it. It’s also held in the middle of winter when most out door venues wouldn’t be hosting an event for the next five months, epic.

This year Icelantic is sweetening the deal with a chance to win “The Ultimate Colorado Experience” in Icelantic’s Road to the Rocks. The winner of RTTR will be VIP at winter on the rocks (yup, up close and personal) get free Icelantic skis, flights paid for, a jacked up jeep to rip around the Rockies in and a free place to stay! If you’re thinking just even a little bit about the idea of a ski trip to Colorado this year, fill out the form! Why not throw an epic concert and loads of free stuff into your plan, hey you never know!

Tickets are onsale now!
