White Christmas, Holiday Snowfall?

Posted December 18, 2012 @ 6:47pm | by Eric Gerrmann

White Christmas? Holiday Snow???

Snow has started to fall on the east coast and has been steadily dumping throughout most of the Rocky Mountains. Colorado is forecasting snow through Wednesday, and Lake Tahoe is excepted to get 8-12" of fresh pow this week. Oregon and Washington State are also showing signs of heavy snow. New England may get heavy snowfall through New Hampshire, northern Vermont and northern Maine. What does all of this mean???

This continuous string of winter weather means that snowfall this year is already showing signs of epicness! On the east coast, we may have have a white Christmas for the first time in a long time. On the west coast, ski resorts are getting pounded and are securing a solid snow base to ensure an incredibly long and prosperous winter season. If this pattern keeps up, Holiday snowfall is not out of the question. Most of the country could be waking up to snow covered city streets and suburbia front lawns.

After last years snow debacle, this is such a breath of fresh winter air. So lets all get amped and geared up for an unreal winter with serious heavy snow. I think skiers and snowboarders everywhere need to be reminded that deep, cold winter days can still happen on more than one occasion. Think snow.
