The Volkl Kenja 88 has been around for a while and is still a top ski in the harder charging groomer focused category. While this is an "all-mountain" ski, the Kenja is happiest cruising or crushing groomers and hard pack. The Kenja 88 is powerful, stable, and confidence-inspiring regardless of how hard or aggressively you're pushing the ski. For a ski this powerful, turn initiation isn't difficult or demanding for more proficient skiers but less experienced skiers may have a harder time as they progress into stronger skiers. Experts will love the stability and predictability the Kenja 88 offers. The Kenja has good energy but is on the quieter side, meaning it offers a smooth ride; however, some skiers may have a preference for skis that are a little more energetic and quick where the Kenja is quiet and composed. Off trail, or in softer deep snow, you can tell that home for the Kenja is on a groomer, but more advanced skiers won't have a ton of trouble getting through some tighter terrain if you venture off a groomer. The Kenja is one of the more powerful, precise skis in this category. So if you're a skier that loves groomers and want one of the best groomer crushing skis out there, the Kenja 88 should be on your list. 

Who is this ski for? Strong skiers who want a powerful ski for crushing groomers and hard pack. 

Who isn't this ski for? Skiers who prefer nimble, playful skis or skiers who spend a ton of time off trail or in deeper snow.
