The ski's Power construction and Multi Layer wood core provide the ski with excellent performance on groomed terrain and hardpack snow. The Katana was built for the steep and deep terrain, and wants to tackle any challenge you can throw at it. Simply put, the Volkl Katanas are an absolute beast!

Construction:

Power Sidewall with Titanium - The power construction is a full sandwich sidewall from tip to tail giving the Volkl Katana unrivaled edge hold on hardpack snow, without sacrificing off-trail performance. The titanal increases the torsional rigidity of the skis and provides excellent power and energy out of every turn.

Core:

Multi Layer Wood - This core gives the Katana a solid durable platform. The multi-layer wood allows the ski to be extremely responsive and energetic.

Shape:

Full Rocker - The full rockered shape makes the Katana feel right at home when conditions get steep and deep. The ski provides a surfy feel through deep powder and blast through crud when conditions get tough.

Binding:

The Katana does not come with a binding. We recommend you use a binding that will accommodate your skiing needs (backcountry, touring, all-mountain, freestyle etc.).
