THE STANDARD FOR ALL-AROUND PERFORMANCE.

The Lacroix LXW HD Skis are built extremely similar to their LXR counterparts, with a few more "free-ride" friendly features. In addition to Lacroix's famously precise construction process, the LXW skis come designed with a 90 mm waist and Freeride Rocker shape. The slightly wider waist is combined with rockered areas in the tip and tail for increased floatation in softer snow. This shape also allows for easier turn initiation and release when the conditions get steep and deep. The core is also specifically designed for the more adventurous skier. Lacroix places a softer, low-density wood through the core's center for easy maneuverability and light-weight. Then, finishes the core with harder woods along the skis edges for superior edge grip and stability on any terrain or snow condition.

Construction

LX Sandwich Structure - A slimmer, lighter, bomb-proof construction. Lacroix takes a full wood core and sandwiches it with metal and carbon/kevlar fibers. The metal enclosure construction provides feel, flex and torsional strength that is unrivaled in the ski industry.

LX Straight Sidewall - Lacriox builds their skis with a sandwich vertical sidewall design. This design is the absolute best for transmitting energy to the ski's edges. This gives the skier optimal edge grip on any terrain or snow condition.

LX Titanal Treatment - This treatment rapidly heats and cools the aluminum alloy for a period of 6 hours. This greatly increases the titanal's elasticity. Then Lacroix gives the titanal an electroplating bath, this process increases surface resistance, resistance to corrosion and dramatically increases the metal's mechanical properties.

Core

LX OCC - Lacroix builds their skis with a full tip-to-tail wood core that is meant to provide the skis with exceptional stability, energy and response.

Titanal, Kevlar, Carbon - Lacroix reinforces the LXW HD with a combination of Titanal, Kevlar and Carbon. These three key components provide incredible stability, responsiveness and a smooth damp ride.

Shape

Freeride Rocker - Lacroix's Freeride Rocker features a rockered tip and tail with camber underfoot. The rockered areas give the skis increased floatation in softer snow, as well as easy turning through any type of snow condition. The cambered zone helps to maximize performance on hard/groomed snow with increased edge grip and stability.

Binding

The Lacroix LXW HD Skis are equipped with a Salomon system ski binding that is integrated directly onto the skis. These ski bindings are designed to make the ski feel extremely quick edge-to-edge and provide maximum power transfer out of every turn.
