The K2 Stinger is best option in the AMP line for beginners.  The Stinger has K2's Catch Free rocker make turn initiation a breeze and the ski is nice and stable making the progression to steeper or more difficult slopes more comfortable.  The Stinger is very lightweight making quick turns easier and can even make learning some trees a little more fun.  K2 Stinger is a great option for a beginner or recreational skier.

Construction:

Torsion Box Cap -  A durable, lightweight construction.

Core:

Composite - A softer lightweight core that is more forgiving on a less experienced skier.

Shape:

Catch Free Rocker - The rockered tip and tail give the skier confidence entering and exiting a turn, while the camber underfoot provides a solid feeling platform and stability throughout the turn.

Binding:

Marker M2 10.0 - The bindings are integrated on top of the skis, and are designed for intermediate skiers. The integration allows the skier to have better edge control while initiating turns.
