The HEAD Supershape Rally Skis are where a proven, race derived method of construction meets the leading edge of ski technology, in KERS energy management system. Wood has been essential to the creation of high performance skis since the very beginning. The addition of titanium alloy allows the ski to consistently perform on a high edge angle. Variable terrain requires varying degrees of stiffness from the ski in order to optimize performance. This problem is typically overcome by the assembly of a quiver of multiple pairs of skis. One for ice, one for pow, and one for those days that fall somewhere in between. The Supershape Rally Ski is not in any way built for super deep snow, but it goes beast mode on everything else. KERS energy management system stores electrical energy in a chip. This energy is sourced from the kinetic energy which travels through the ski while you're tearing it up. When sensors detect chatter, resulting from icey conditions, this stored electric energy is strategiclly released in order to stiffen the ski and thereby improve your ability to sink the edge. Conversely, they remain softer in forgiving terrain, taking some of the work out of navigating bumps and trees. At 76mm under foot these bad boys roll from one edge to the other with ease. The HEAD Supershape Rally Ski provides speed-limit-less performance for those perfect corduroy mornings, as well as icey afternoons.
