Whether you're just starting out, ski recreationally or just want a ski that's fun and easy to turn; Elan's Explore 4 is a sweet deal.  If you're an aspiring advanced skier you'll have plenty of performance in a variety of conditions with it's 70mm chassis.  It's a really light woodcore/fiberglass ski. Since the Explore 4 is so light with a narrower waist it turns more quickly and easily - that's also a plus if you want to dabble in some bumps or crud.  They area great pair of skis for someone that skis recreationally.

Construction

Full Power Cap - A full synthetic core that provides an easy skiing feel all over the mountain. It's lightweight and maneuverability will make any novice skier feel comfortable immediately.

Fibreglass - This reinforcement ensures for optimal flex and stability.

Core

Comprex Woodcore - A piece of lightweight wood runs the length of the ski and it's wrapped in synthetics. This provides a super easy skiing feel, without sacrificing too much stability.

Shape

Early Rise Rocker - Rocker in the tip with camber under binding. Easy turning and effortless float is combined with a solid stable feeling ride.
