That’s because the El Rey isn’t designed to be affordable; it’s designed to be light, lively, and durable. It achieves those characteristics with a multi-composition, torsion box core and cap construction that provide a balanced flex pattern throughout the life of the ski. That we’ve sourced these materials at a reasonable price isn’t enough to warrant an Armada logo on the top sheet; that it’s good enough for our top riders is.
