The Tecnica Mach1 HV 110 is a great boot for wider feet, beginner/intermediate skiers, and people who want a boot optimized for comfort. The 103mm last paired with a relatively plush feeling liner makes this one of the more generous fitting high-volume boots on the market. With all of these comfort-minded traits built for wider feet, you might expect the Mach1 HV to feel sloppy, imprecise, or inefficient -- that's not the case. The Mach1 HV has the same performance characteristics you'd find in lower-volume boots but with a more accommodating fit. This boot drives skis with ease and predictability and it is a major upgrade over rental boots. If you're a progressing skier or just a skier who doesn't need the stiffest boots out there, this is one of the best options for skiers with wider feet.
Bootfitter's notes:
The Mach1 110 HV is a wider fitting 103mm last while being true to length. It's forgiving on top of the instep than most 103mm lasts, but not too wide in the heel. The heel is on the snug side for how voluminous the rest of the fit is.
