A mid-volume, 110 flex boot for average skiers who trend closer to the more comfortable side of things.

NOT A CONSTRICTOR BOA.

The new S/Pro Supra BOA 110, from Salomon, is a more forgiving mid-volume boot that is stiff enough for casual intermediates and soft flexing enough for progressing beginners. It isn't the most powerful boot out there but has enough flex to drive skis efficiently and help you feel like a stronger skier. The BOA fit system helps to level up the fit of this boot by providing an even wrap around the sides and top of your feet without feeling overbearing. If you've got average feet and are an average skier this could be a really well-rounded option for you. Compared to rental boots, the S/Pro Supra BOA 110 is in a different league; it will provide a better feel for where your weight should be on the skis and your skis will feel more predictable. Expert skiers or more aggressive skiers should probably look at a stiffer flexing option, however, this is one of our favorite boots for beginners and intermediates that don't want or need to be in a stiff boot. The 110 flex is forgiving enough to allow you to make mistakes without punishing you while the more generous mid-volume fit is comfortable enough to keep your feet happy all day while also being firm enough to keep your feet locked in. Ski boots don't need to be uncomfortable and they're supposed to help make your skiing as efficient as possible; the Supra 110 does both of those things.

Bootfitter's notes:

The Supra BOA 110 fits exactly like a beginner/intermediate skier might want their boot to fit. The liner is on the more supple side, great for skiers who still keep comfort high on the priority list. It's precise enough in the heel to keep you locked down but isn't aggressive at all. The instep is on the more generous side and it's easy to get an even fit on top of the foot and across the instep with a few turns of the BOA dial. Length is true to size, however, when the boot is brand new it may feel a little crowded in the toe box before the boot breaks in. This does open up quickly after the liner is molded to your feet. Around the back of the heel, you might notice a band of pressure on the lower part of your heel, this also goes away once the liner is molded to your feet. A heat-moldable shell and liner will get you close to a perfect fit with very minimal work. If you're looking for a more dense liner and overall more powerful boot, check out the Supra BOA 120.
