The fit is on the more comfortable side of the spectrum even compared to some other high-volume boots, but it's precise in the right places to keep your feet held into the boot. The Nordica Sportmachine 110 is a great boot for less experienced skiers who have wider feet. The 110 flex is forgiving and smooth while also being much stronger than a rental boot. This allows energy to get from the skier to the skis more efficiently and makes you feel like a more confident skier. The Sportmachine shares a lot of the fit characteristics that the Nordica Speedmachine 110 has, just in a fit that makes sense for wider feet or skiers who prioritize comfort. The 110 flex is more than enough to drive most recreational skis easily and more predictably than a rental boot can. If you're a progressing skier making the jump from rental boots or you're looking to replace older, uncomfortable retail boots, this is one of the best options.
Bootfitter's notes:
The Nordica Sportmachine 110 is a high-volume boot. It is generous in length and width but not enough to warrant sizing down. The instep is normal for a high-volume boot. The heel and achilles area are generous enough to accommodate larger ankles but precise enough to keep you held down in the boot. The cuff can be adjusted to accommodate larger calves as well. If you're looking for a more powerful option with a slightly beefier liner, check out the Sportmachine 120.
