Apres Ski at Ajax Tavern - Aspen, CO

Posted March 23, 2012 @ 6:06pm | by Eric Gerrmann

Aspen Apres Ski Ajax TavernIn light of our recent trip to Aspen, Colorado, this edition of Après Ski is dedicated to Ajax Tavern. Après Ski at Ajax Tavern in Aspen Colorado is one of the best Après locations in the world. It sits directly across from the Ajax gondola and is located inside the same building as the world famous hotel, The Little Nell. From about lunch time until dusk, you will find both skiers and riders getting their cocktail on.

If your hungry, Ajax Tavern has an excellent lunch and dinner menu offering everything from fresh oysters to Lamb Bolognese. I recommend getting the hand-cut french fries. The saltiness of the fried potatoes goes perfect with your beer of choice, which leads me to Ajax's extensive cocktail menu. From $2.00 PBR's to Ajax's signature martinis to $100 Bottles of Champagne, Ajax's Tavern has everyones favorite Après cocktail. You can live large, like many people in Aspen do, and order a bottle of Brut Rosè, or you can buy a round of beers without breaking the bank.

The outdoor seating at Ajax Tavern is unparalleled in the ski industry. When your legs cannot possibly ski another turn, you can sit and watch other skiers cruise down one of the few blue trails on Ajax Mountain. There is live entertainment and an outdoor bar for convenient drink refreshing.

Even if you only go once, getting an Après cocktail at Ajax Tavern is an absolute MUST during your visit. At Ajax Tavern you will see a wide range of style, income and nationality all enjoying the same thing... Another great day in Aspen Colorado.
